This NVQ qualification for the Storage and Warehousing Industry. The NVQ at level two covers the skills required across job rolesin the industry whilst allowing you to specialise in areas such as storage and handling high risk goods and materials. The award at level three includes te skills necessary for the managements of sophisticated stock storage and distribution systems, also providing the opportunity to develop people and resource management skills.
This NVQ requires 6 OPTIONAL units to be completed PLUS 2 which are mandatory and must be completed.
The mandatory units are:
- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in logistics facilities
- Maintain health, safety and security in logistic operations
Optional Units:
- Provide customers with information and advice on goods and services.
- Operate equipment to performance requirements
- Move goods in logistics facilities.
- Receive goods from deliveries
- Place goods into storage
- Assemble goods for dispatch
- Maintain the safety and quality of goods
- Maintain the safety of hazardous goods and materials
- Maintain hygiene standards in handling and storing goods
- Process orders for dispatch
- Dispatch goods for delivery
- Process returned goods
- Sort goods and materials for recycling
- Manage the receipt, storage, or dispatch of goods.
- Audit stock levels and stock records
