Train to Gain Funding

By 2012 85% of jobs will require skills and competencies at or around A Level standard. By ignoring opportunities now instead of growing your own to enable employees to gain qualifications at Levels 2 or 3, Employers are limiting the development of their current workforce.  Encouraging employees to become skilled is good for employers raising individual aspirations to achieve higher level skills, employees will improve their contribution in the workplace through gaining confidence and possibly developing themselves into positions never considered for them previously.

A better trained workforce will have more confidence in their abilities, pride in the skills which they possess, lead to a better quality of service and a sense of self-assurance. In real terms this can sometimes be achieved by possibly improving their language skills and understanding of English, or through a better grasp of technical instructions, or of computing skills.

Research shows that 1.3 million people go to work every day without the skills they require to do their job proficiently. Employers are increasingly investing in staff development and reaping benefits that include improved staff confidence and motivation, higher retention rates and increased productivity.

The Government aim is that by 2010, young people and adults in England have the knowledge and skills matching the best in the world and are part of a truly competitive workforce. It is only by working in partnership with employers that Intrinsic Training Solutions will be able to help and be part of achievement.

Train 2 Gain Initative

Train to Gain is the funding paid by the Government to help businesses get the training they need to succeed. As part of this funding Intrinsic Training Solutions offers Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) about the different training we as a company can provide but also the training available through our partner colleges. Both the training and advice offered by Intrinsic Training Solutions is flexible, responsive and offered at a time and place to suit you.

The Train to Gain funding aims to encourage all businesses and individuals to realise the benefits of training. The idea is to enable adults to achieve a first full Level 2 qualification and improve skills. Train to Gain is important because without a skilled workforce businesses will not be able to compete; jobs will be lost and fewer people will be able to get the jobs they want.

Why is Train 2 Gain Needed?

Skills shortages continue to have a negative impact on UK productivity and competitiveness in the face of fast-growing economies. 2.4 million workers in England do not have any qualifications (Skills in England 2005).
