Level 3 Award in Training Skills and Practice (Train the Trainer)
This qualification is aimed at those who want to develop practical training skills and/or meet the basic training requirements for registering to deliver CIEH vocationally related qualifications without public funding. Completing this award will enable learners with the basic knowledge and skills required to develop and deliver training programmes, provide learning support and take responsibility in managing the learning process and techniques.

The Programme will suit:
- Anyone new to training who needs to understand the basics of training practice or wants to refine their training techniques.Trainers or potential trainers from any discipline will benefit from the programme, as the qualification.
- Those who have never delivered training before will find it an ideal basis for their future training activities.
- Trainers working in the private sector delivering in-house training and/or work-based learning who want to achieve an accredited qualification.
- The qualification is essential for those who wish to become CIEH registered trainers (certain other training qualifications are also recognised, and conditions regarding technical knowledge and experience also apply).
- The programme is designed to be delivered over two to three days.
To receive the certificate for the Level 3 Award in Training Skills and Practice candidates are required to produce a plan for a 25-30 minute micro-teach session using different teaching
resources, the trainer will assess the the micro-teach session. The other candidates on the programme are required to give structured feedback to their peers and after delivering the miro-teach candidates are required to complete a self-evaluation to reflect on and review the effectiveness of their micro-teach session.
On achieving this qualification, candidates may progress onto the Level 3 in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS).
