Level 2 NVQ in Team Leading
This Level 2 award in Team Leading is for people working in the role of team leader or a similar role of leading people to meet a short term goal.
The award is for people working in these roles wanting to develop their team leading skills and knowledge.
There are no specific pre entry requirements but you must be employed in a role to enable you to demonstrate you carry out the role and you should be aware of the need to undertake learning to achieve this award.
To work towards and achieve the Level 2 NVQ in Team Leading you will need to complete 4 mandatory units and 2 optional units.
The mandatory units are:
- Manage your own resources
- Provide leadership for your team
- develop productive working relationships with colleagues
- Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
The possible optional units available are (remember you need to choose 2 of these):
- Encourage innovation in your team
- Allocate and Check work in your team
- Provide learning opportunities in your team
- Resolve customer service problems
- Support customer service improvements
To enable you to achieve this award we will appoint an assessor to guide and support you through your NVQ. The Assessor will guide you towards providing the required evidence. The evidence can be obtained through observing you completing your usual tasks, discussing what you do and how you do it, written personal statements, witness testimonies are a few examples. On completing your qualification you will receive a nationally recognised certificate showing you have complewted a stuctured nationally recognised NVQ proving you have shown you are competent in Team Leading.
This qualification provides a foundation for you to progress to further qualifications in Management these could be taught courses or NVQs. If you progress to include more management roles you could continue to Level 3 NVQ in Management.
