Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing
This qualification is designed for those who work in all areas of the food and drink manufacturing sectors. As well as those directly involved in the handling, production or processing of food or drink items, the qualification may also be suitable for those whose work requires them to enter the workplace e.g. equipment maintenance engineers and delivery personnel.
- The terminology used within food safety
- The laws that apply to organisations and food handlers
- The risk of food hazards and how food poisoning can be controlled
- The use of temperature controls
- Heat processing
- Personal hygiene
- The importance of storage conditions for different foods
- The importance of cleaning
- The design and structure of food premises and equipment used in the industry.
- Pest control
The course is delivered by Intrinsic Training Solutions Ltd to suit your requirements:
- The training programme is delivered over 1 day normally 6 hours
- This can be split to suit your operational requirements.
- The course can be delivered on your own site or locally if you prefer.
- Attendees complete a 30 question multiple choice test paper.
- To pass the assessment 20 correct answers are required.
- Maximum time allowed is 1 hour.
- Attendees must attend at least 80% of the course to attend the assessment
- Foreign language papers are available (with prior notice)
- Oral tests can be taken.
- The training is delivered by an experience tutor who has many years experience of the retail sector.
- All successful attendees will receive an individually named certification from one of our accredited awarding organisations.
