Level 2 Award in Food Safety (Food Hygiene) for Catering
This qualification is designed principally for those who are, or intend to be, food handlers working in catering. A food handler is any person, in any type of food business, who handles food, whether open or packaged (food includes drinks and ice).
This qualification may also be appropriate for people whose work requires them to enter food premises: premises,
- equipment maintenance engineers
- off-site business owners/managers
- delivery personnel.
The aim of this qualification is to provide a basic knowledge of food hygiene. The course is delivered over a full day and has a multiple choice exam at the end of the day. On completing this exam sucessfully attendees will receive a full certificate pass.
The course is delivered by Intrinsic Training Solutions Ltd to suit your requirements:
- The training programme is delivered over 1 day normally 6 hours
- This can be split to suit your operational requirements.
- The course can be delivered on your own site or locally if you prefer.
- Attendees complete a 30 question multiple choice test paper.
- To pass the assessment 20 correct answers are required.
- Maximum time allowed is 1 hour.
- Attendees must attend at least 80% of the course to attend the assessment
- Foreign language papers are available (with prior notice)
- Oral tests can be taken.
- The training is delivered by an experience tutor who has many years experience of the retail sector.
- All successful attendees will receive an individually named certification from one of our accredited awarding organisations.
