If you are not a qualified assessor you will need to prove competency in your own working environment by ensuring your CV is completely up to date. To become an assessor you need to have worked in the working environment for example a Butcher can assess another Butcher as that person will have experience to be able to assess another Butcher. If you are not a qualified assessor then we can help you attain the assessor's qualification providing you can provide the required learners.
We not only consider your CV. We also look for additional evidence which can range from an up to date 'personal statement' to copies of recognised certificates.
Please do contact Intrinsic Training Solutions to discuss this further - telephone - 01536 521024 or e-mail
enquiries@intrinsictraining.com or use our contact form to enquire about working with us.

For an individual who is not qualified as an assessor you will need to complete the required qualifications. The new qualifications are called TAQA this replaces the popular A1 Assessors' qualification and is outlined below.

This qualifications required to become an assessor are:

  • Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Realated     Achievement
  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
  • Level 3 Award in Understanding Principles and Pracitices of Assessment

These qualifications are about assessing people, normally completed as your learners are working towards a QCF previously called NVQs.
To start the qualification you need to have access to at least 2 learners who are working towards a QCF. You will work with these people to guide and assist them in achieving their QCF Qualification.

The evidence they produce as part of their QCF qualification will double up as evidence to enable you to achieve your assessors qualification. Whilst working towards your qualification you will also become familar with the assessment process, Planning of assessments, giving feedback and the different assessment methods used to collate evidence for a QCF Qualification. We will guide you and support you throughout whilst you are working to complete you assesors qualification. Although you could complete the qualification in around 12 weeks we believe you need to work with 2 learners through the full assessment process becoming familar with the full requirements.

We are always looking for the right person to work towards the TAQA (A1 Assessor's qualification) and will help and guide you to do so. Please contact Philip Wadsworth at Intrinsic Training Solutions Ltd. He will be pleased to discuss the possibilities with you.
