How WE Deliver QCF (previously NVQ) Programmes

We offer a range of the NEW Qualification Framework Qualifications (QCF)

To make our programmes successful a team is required.

This team includes;

  1. Intrinsic Training Solutions Staff qualified and experienced in delivering workplace NVQ programmes.
  2. Company staff experienced and knowledgable about the company and operational requirements.
  3. The College staff experienced and knowledgable to enhance the availability of possible funding.

We meet with you and discuss what you want to achieve and how we can achieve your requirements from your QCF (previously NVQ) programme.

We meet your individual employees who want to work towards their NVQ outlining to them how they can achieve the qualification whilst at work without taking any work home with them.

Explaining the company will release them from their job for an agreed limited time to suit them.

Identifying how they will achieve the qualification and the subjects (all work related) they can achieve through their own job role as part of the QCF qualification.

Our QCF Programme assessor will normally work on your site for at least 4 days per week working across your shifts to enable all QCF learners to make progress reguarly.

We work with your QCF learners normally once every fortnight this is planned by the QCF Programme assessor.

Should release off line be required this would be pre-arranged so this does minimises disruption with your operational requirements.

As the QCF learners progress the work they complete is put in their personal QCF portfolio. This is their evidence of showing competency towards the standards of the QCF qualification.

This evidence is built with the help of the Programme Assessor working with each individual with perhaps 30 QCF learners in each cohort. The evidence is built through collecting different evidence from observing the QCF learner on the shop floor doing their job and the different tasks they complete as part of their job. This may include completing paperwork, solving problems, running a team of people to do the job. All this information is collected and put in the individual's portfolio to help meet the standards of the NVQ qualification.

To ensure the standards are being met and to ensure quality assurance we have an Internal Quality Assurer who samples the evidence being collected to ensure the standards expected by Intrinsic Training Solutions and the standards demanded by the awarding organisations such as City and Guilds.

It is the Internal Quality Assurer who will also be the Programme Manager will support the Programme Assessor and with the representative from the company as a team will liase with  each other to ensure the programme continues to make progress ensuring the college are happy as the target end date must be met to meet the funding reqirements.

To further ensure the quality and creditability of the QCF qualification the awarding organisation appoint an External Quality Assurer to our centre and  visits Intrinsic Training Solutions twice per year to ensure we are meeting the requirements of the awarding organisation and the portfolios are meeting the required standard of the QCF qualification.

On completion of the QCF qualification each individual learner is awarded an individual certificate from the awarding organisation identifying the units (subjects) they have achieved. The QCF portfolio that contains the evidence of competency is given to the QCF learner to keep with their certificate.

The importance of the QCF programme delivery team ethic during the QCF programme must be emphatically emphasised as without the all the team pulling together the success of the programme would be minimal.
