Every business in operation requires cleaning. The type and extent of the cleaning required will dend upon the type of business. The type of cleaning required will vary considerably depending on the type of soiling but, what evert the business it is essential that cleaning takes place to avoid the risk of soiling residues reaching levels increasing the risk of contamination.

Cleaning depends upon the standard required. Cleaning to remove visible soiling is completed to make an area look clean. However other areas may require a microbiological clean, this involves cleaning to remove soling and completing disinfection to destroy microorganisms.

Cleaning is and essential part of any successful and profitable business.

Cleanliness will:

• Create a pleasant, safe and attractive working environment, encouraging effective working reducing risks of accidents to both customers and staff. By doing so reduce possible complaints.
• Promote a favourable image to the customer and assist in promoting any business.
• Remove possible materials that could provide food or harbourage for pests reducing the risk of possible pest infestations.
• Remove materials that could encourage the growerth of microorganisms and so making any disinfection more effective therefore reducing possible wastage of chemicals.
• Reduce possible damage or efficency to equipment and services thereby reducing maintenance costs.

Cleaning is a wide ranging and varied industry required in offices, schools, hospital and factories.

This Level 2 NVQ assesses a range of skills used in the different locations cleaning is required.

The qualification is achieved through continuous assessment like all NVQs there are no examinations. Employees (learners) work towards this qualification through completing their usual tasks whilst working with an appointed assessor who will help and giude the individual learner towards completing their NVQ level 2 in Cleaning and Suport Services.

The bonus is at Level 2 the NVQ is fully fiunded 100% for eligible people. 

To complete this NVQ Level in Cleaning and Support Services each individual must complete 6 units (subjects)
